Eleven launched Express Takeaway – a new self-service takeaway that’s as quick to buy as you can make your choice – you don’t need to wait in a queue to be served, or for your food to be cooked.
It’s just like going to Eleven for a delicious meal that you eat in the restaurant, except that you arrive, pay, pick up your containers, fill them at the carvery and buffet (our chef will carve any roast for you and will be happy to help you place your choices neatly into the boxes), then take your meal home, to the office or wherever you choose to eat.
Eleven’s general manager, Christina Maciver, told us, “While Stornoway already has plenty of good takeaways to choose from, Eleven offers traditional roasts, salads and international cuisine, so there is something to suit everyone’s tastes.”
Menus change daily, with a choice of two roasts, fish dishes, casseroles, meats in sauces, pasta, curries and other British and Asian specialities – Eleven has customers who appreciate the variety so much that they eat there several times a week.
At £7.50 for a main course, prices are not greatly different to quality supermarket ready meals, but the food is prepared daily using fresh produce, so you really can taste difference.
Main Course – £7.50 (Sundays £8.95) | Salad Starter £3.50 | Soups £2.25
Salad Main Courses 6.25 | Desserts £4.25
Available Monday – Saturday, 12 noon to 2.30pm and 5pm to 9.30pm.| Sunday 12noon – 4pm and 5pm-9.30pm
This makes the Eleven Express Takeaway an ideal choice for those who enjoy the idea of taking a convenient, ready cooked dinner home with them at the end of the working day. It’s perfect, too, for people who normally cook for one, are late home from work or have an unexpected visit by friends or family.
It’s also likely to become popular with businesses and organisations for a quick lunch during meetings or when working through the day without a break. Later in the year, the takeaway is certain to become popular with self-catering holidaymakers.
